Give it a clear, outcome-focused title — for example, "Ship v2 dashboard" or "Reach 1,000 active teams".
Add a target
Set a measurable target value so progress can be tracked toward it.
Link the work
Connect the issues that contribute to the goal. As they're completed, progress updates automatically.
Goals vs OKRs
A goal is a single outcome you're driving toward. To run OKRs, use one goal per Objective and track its Key Results as linked work and progress updates.
Goals roll up from the work linked to them, so the progress bar always reflects what's actually shipping.
Keeping goals healthy
- Review goals at the start of each cycle.
- Keep them few and focused — a handful of clear goals beats a long list.
- Link every important issue to the goal it serves.
