    Projects & issues

Break work down, assign it, and watch it move from idea to shipped.

Projects are where the work happens. Each project gives your team an issue list, a board, a timeline, and a backlog — all the views you need to plan and ship.

    Projects

A project usually maps to a product, team, or initiative. Inside a project you get several views of the same work:

    • List — a flat, filterable list of issues.
    • Board — a kanban board grouped by status.
    • Timeline — issues plotted over time.
    • Backlog — everything not yet scheduled.

    Issues

Issues are the unit of work — a task, bug, or feature. Each issue has a status, an assignee, and can be linked to goals. Bigger bodies of work are grouped under epics, and issues can be broken into sub-issues, linked to each other as dependencies, and grouped into sprints.

    Create an issue

From any project view, create an issue with a title and description — or start from an issue template.

    Assign and set a status

Assign it to a teammate and move it through your workflow — for example, Todo → In progress → In review → Done.

    Log time as you work

Time logged on the issue feeds utilization and costing — and an issue can't enter review or be completed until some time is logged.

Connect the issue to a goal so progress rolls up automatically.

    The issue's tabs

Beyond its description, an issue carries its working context in tabs: sub-issues, activity, comments, a Dev tab showing linked branches and pull requests from your git integration, a QA tab for test cases (written by hand or generated with AI), and approvals where they apply.

    More than an assignee

Issues track everyone involved, not just the person doing the work: watchers follow updates, teammates can be marked as consulted, and whoever reviews the completion earns review credit. This feeds the points system, so contribution beyond the keyboard is recognised.

    Tips

Keep issue titles action-oriented — "Ship calendar sync" reads better on a board than "Calendar".

Stuck on "Please log time before moving to this status"? That's the time gate above — log your time on the issue, then move it.

When an issue is completed, the work counts toward your team's progress and the leaderboard.
